Vanessa Bryant Teases New Nike Kobe Shoes on Instagram

The Nike Kobe 6 Protro 'Black History Month' could be on the way.

Last year was a drought for fans of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant's sneaker line. Nike only released one pair of shoes from the Kobe line in May 2022. Luckily, there are plenty more of Bryant's iconic basketball shoes on the way in 2023.

Over the past few weeks, we have learned of multiple shoes scheduled to release this calendar year, including one new Nike Kobe 4 Protro colorway, the Nike Kobe 6 Protro 'Reverse Grinch,' and the launch of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro.

While this has not yet been confirmed, there could be an additional drop soon. Vanessa Bryant posted a picture on Instagram of a never-before-seen colorway of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro in a new 'Black History Month.' Below is everything we know so far.

Vanessa has made it her mission to carry on the legacy of her late husband and daughter, Kobe and Gigi. In addition to charity work, Vanessa has worked to keep the Nike Kobe sneaker line moving forward.

The shoes Vanessa posted on Instagram last night were the Nike Kobe 6 Protro in an unreleased colorway. The faux snakeskin upper featured a gradient pattern that started white at the toes and darkened into grey at the heel.

We can see that the show laces and the back of the heel are white and blue. The Swoosh logos are pink, outlined in blue. Lastly, the outsole is black with a pink Kobe logo under the heel.

The caption read, "Nike Kobe 6 Protro ~Promo in celebration of Black History Month." The thought of another new Kobe shoe releasing in February is exciting. However, the post never came close to promising the shoes' release. 

Either way, it always welcomed news whenever Vanessa discusses her husband's iconic sneaker line. So even if the new 'Black History Month' colorway never hits shelves, 2023 is guaranteed to be a good year for fans of the "Black Mamba."
