James Harden's signature sneaker line with adidas has always been about way more than footwear. Everything from art to fashion to his hometown play a significant role in how the basketball shoes are promoted to the world.

Dating back to the adidas Harden Vol. 1, the perennial NBA All-Star has used different forms of video to express his style. Now, Harden is breaking boundaries with his latest film in collaboration with adidas Basketball.

The two collaborators debuted a new film, titled "UNO," which captures an up-close and personal look at the Los Angeles Clippers guard playing in his latest signature shoe, the Harden Volume 8. Fans can watch the video in the social media post below.

Shot in Harden's alma mater, Artesia High School in Lakewood, California, the film establishes the hoops legend's "Under No One" mentality.

"UNO means number 1, but also means 'Under No One.' We feel like we are the biggest, we don't put ourselves under anyone. We are very respectful, but we carry ourselves with a different swagger and confidence than a lot of people," said James Harden.

Often misunderstood, the film gives viewers a rare glimpse into Harden's personal narrative and perspective on his life and career, with an intimacy rarely seen from the athlete. Rooted in pressure and expectations, Harden disarms negative energy in "UNO," making his possibilities attainable.

Harden collaborated closely with producer and scriptwriter Kenneth Wynn and Louisville-based rapper EST Gee, who provided original voiceover for the film. Stay locked into Sports Illustrated's FanNation Kicks for all your sneaker news from the sports world.
