Over the past weekend, Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry hosted the eighth annual Curry Camp in the Bay Area. The summer basketball camp has become a summit of basketball's best, calling those who want to change the game for good to Northern California.

Curry Camp is one of the ways the 4x NBA Champion gives back to the game he loves, mentoring a hand-selected group of 13 boys and 14 girls at the high school level to help them hone their on-court skills while inspiring them to give back to their communities.

"I am excited to be back partnering with Under Armour and Curry Brand to make this camp happen, and I'm pumped to get on the court to mentor this select group of talented young athletes," said Curry, the President of Curry Brand at Under Armour.

Curry continued, "There are big things ahead for this group, and it means everything to me to play a role in the growth of the future generation of hoopers. They put in the hard work to get here, and it's my job to add the fuel to the fire that will take them to the next level."

On Thursday evening, the group arrived in Menlo Park. The hoopers were fitted with the best Under Armour and Curry Brand gear. This included an exclusive Curry Camp-inspired colorway of the never-before-seen Curry Flow 11. The group also got their hands on a few unreleased colorways of the Curry Retro 4, Curry 4 FloTro, and Curry Flow Cozy.

Campers also received apparel for performance and recovery like the Women’s UA RUSH Intelliknit Hoodie, Men’s Curry Fleece Sweatpants, Women’s HeatGear Armour High Sports Bra, and more. After their gear exchange, the athletes jumped into their first camp activity – orientation, followed by a Player Welcome Party, which held a one-of-a-kind gaming experience for the athletes to battle it out ahead of their on-court activities.

Starting Friday morning, the group kicked off their first of four on-court sessions by testing grit and perseverance. The campers received exclusive coaching and tips from Curry and his personal coach, Brandon Payne.

Following an intense day of workouts, the group headed to a tech company's headquarters, where they toured the campus, were gifted a custom pair of Curry Brand headphones that feature Curry’s signature logo, and treated to a screening of Stephen’s newly released documentary, Stephen Curry: Underrated.

On Saturday afternoon, the athletes competed against one another in their final two rounds of practice sessions. Shortly after, they engaged in an off-court education session and a community impact moment within the Menlo Park community. Later that evening, the group celebrated by having fun at Top Golf, where they enjoyed a fun and relaxing evening, deepening their relationships while engaging in another one of Curry’s passions.

The weekend culminated on Sunday morning with an award ceremony where the male and female MVPs each received a custom personally branded jersey, signed by Curry himself, and a limited-edition pair of Curry Flows 9’s released in a small quantity in 2022.

All 27 athletes excelled, but Ace Bailey, Dylan Harper, Lanie Grant, and Jaloni Cambridge put up particularly impressive numbers throughout the weekend, earning the well-deserved title of Camp All-Stars.

The eighth annual Curry Camp was the best yet. Spearheaded by Curry and powered by Under Armour, the youngest generation of basketball players received a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will help them pursue their hoop dreams. Stay locked into FanNation Kicks for all your sneaker news.
