Injuries have sidelined some of the best players in the NBA this season. The silver lining for fans is that nothing can slow down the signature sneaker line of Ja Morant. Since debuting the Nike Ja 1 on Christmas Day 2022, Morant's debut hoop shoe has been a hit with the sneaker community.

Over the past 14 months, athletes and fans have been inundated with several exciting colorways of Morant's first signature sneaker. Despite Morant's off-court controversies and season-ending shoulder injury, the Nike Ja 1 is still going strong. Below are two new colorways that were released earlier today.

The Nike Ja 1 'Bite' takes direct inspiration from Morant's authentic personality. The shoe sports a Red Stardust upper contrasted by black Swoosh logos and outsoles. However, a special tongue and insole features a fangs design, which is a nod to Morant's chrome grill.

Online shoppers can purchase the Nike Ja 1 'Bite' for $130 in adult sizes on the Nike website. Hoopers who wear these kicks on the basketball court are sure to take a bite out of the competition.

Next up, we have the Nike Ja 1 'Check.' The multicolor shoes were originally designed for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, but will have to take on new meaning. This design celebrates Morant's love for Nike and growth in the footwear industry. The included replica of Morant's employee badge is a great reminder to chase your dreams.

Online shoppers can purchase the more premium shoes for $140 in adult sizes on the Nike SNRKS website and app. Even better, these kicks are available in big kid sizes for $105.

Morant has proven to be a force of nature on the basketball court and the sneaker industry. Hopefully, we get to see him on the court at the start of next season wearing his second signature sneaker. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear news from the sports world.
