The 2026 FIFA World Cup will begin in Mexico City on June 11 and conclude with the final in New Jersey on July 19.

Lasting 39 days from start to finish, it will be the longest World Cup that FIFA has ever staged.

The previous Men's World Cup in Qatar in 2022 took place over just 29 days.

There will be a total of 104 games played during the 2026 World Cup - 40 more than in any previous FIFA tournament.

FIFA revealed the schedule for the first ever 48-team World Cup on Sunday, 858 days before the tournament's confirmed start date.

AT&T Stadium in Dallas will host nine matches - more than any other venue.

SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium and New Jersey's MetLife Stadium will each stage eight games.

Canada will host 13 matches - seven in Vancouver and six in Toronto.

Meanwhile, 13 games will take place in Mexico across Mexico City (five) Guadalajara (four) and Monterrey (four).

All games from the quarter-finals onwards will be staged in the USA.
