The group stage of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup finished on Thursday and the remaining 16 teams can now begin to plot their route to the final.

The knockout phase will begin on Sunday when Indonesia take on 2015 champions Australia.

The winner of that game will face either South Korea or Saudi Arabia in the quarter-finals.

South Korea's road to the final looks like a tough one.

Should Son Heung-min's side get as far as the semi-finals then their most likely opponents based on form would be Iran - who won all three of their group games.

Japan and Qatar are in the other half of the bracket and will meet in the semi-finals if they both get that far.
