Alexia Putellas won the women's Ballon d'Or for the second year in a row at Monday's awards ceremony in Paris.

The 28-year-old had captained Barcelona to a perfect domestic campaign in Spain's Primera Division last season.

She scored 18 goals and made 15 assists as Barca won all 30 of their league matches.

Putellas also ended the season as the top scorer in the Women's Champions League with 11 goals.

But Spain international Putellas missed Euro 2022 with an ACL injury.
