Ange Postecoglou Verbally Agrees To Become New Tottenham Manager
Ange Postecoglou is set to be confirmed as the new Tottenham manager after reaching a verbal agreement with the Premier League club.
Postecoglou has been in charge of Scottish side Celtic since June 2021 and has won five trophies in two seasons in Glasgow.
It is understood that Tottenham waited until after last Saturday's Scottish Cup final - which saw Celtic beat Inverness 3-1 - before making an official approach for Postecoglou.
Spurs and Postecoglou then held talks on Monday when they agreed upon the terms of a contract for the 57-year-old.
Once Spurs and Celtic have agreed upon a compensation settlement, Postecoglou is expected to be officially appointed later this week.
Greek-born Australian Postecoglou joined Celtic following spells in charge of South Melbourne, Panachaiki, Whittlesea Zebras, Brisbane Roar, Melbourne Victory and Yokohama F. Marinos.
He has also managed Australia at U17, U20 and senior level.
