Ben Foster Joins Wrexham One Month After Tottenham Failed To Sign Him
Former England goalkeeper Ben Foster has signed for Wrexham until the end of the season.
Foster retired as a player at the end of last season and has since been focusing on his career as a YouTuber.
But the 39-year-old has been tempted to return to the pitch in a bid to help Wrexham win promotion to the Football League.
If Wrexham do gain promotion by winning the National League it will not be Foster's first trophy with the club.
He helped Wrexham win the EFL Trophy during a 21-game loan from Stoke City in 2005.
Foster's performances for Wrexham in 2005 earned him a move to the Premier League with Manchester United.
He later also played for Watford, Birmingham and West Brom in the EPL.
Foster, who won eight England caps between 2007 and 2014, rejected the chance to sign for Newcastle United last summer.
He was then the subject of interest from Tottenham in February after Hugo Lloris suffered an injury.
But Spurs failed to get special dispensation to sign a back-up goalkeeper outside of the transfer window.
