Carlo Ancelotti Signs New Real Madrid Contract
Manager Carlo Ancelotti has signed a new contract with Real Madrid until June 2026.
Ancelotti's previous deal was due to expire at the end of the current season and he had been widely tipped to become the next manager of Brazil.
However, a club statement confirmed on Friday: "Real Madrid C. F. and Carlo Ancelotti have agreed to extend our coach's contract until 30 June 2026.
"In his five seasons as Real Madrid coach, he has won 10 trophies: 2 Champions League titles, 2 Club World Cups, 2 Uefa Super Cups, 1 LaLiga title, 2 Copa del Rey trophies and 1 Spanish Super Cup.
"Carlo Ancelotti is the only manager to have lifted four European Cups and is the coach with the most victories in the history of this competition (118), and he is also the first manager to win the five major European leagues (Italy, England, France, Germany and Spain)."
Ancelotti, 64, is currently in his second spell as Madrid manager.
He returned to the Bernabeu in June 2021, having previously been in charge of the club between June 2013 and May 2015.
