Carlo Ancelotti is only the third manager in Real Madrid history to record 100 wins in La Liga.

The 63-year-old became a member of the 100 club after his team came from behind to beat Espanyol 3-1 at the Bernabeu on Saturday.

It took Ancelotti 139 games to reach a century of La Liga wins.

The only Real managers to win more La Liga games than the Italian are Miguel Munoz (257) and Zinedine Zidane (124).

Real Madrid 3-1 Espanyol

Former Newcastle striker Joselu fired the visitors ahead in the eighth minute but Vinicius Junior equalized with his 19th goal of the season in all competitions.

Vinicius has now scored more goals this season than any other Brazilian playing in one of Europe's big five leagues.

Another Brazil international made it 2-1 to Real in the 39th minute when defender Eder Militao headed in from an Aurelien Tchouameni cross.

Real were the much better side on Saturday but they had to wait until second-half stoppage time before making sure of the win.

Marco Asensio came off the bench to complete the scoring on 93 minutes.

Real's latest victory saw them move to within six points of La Liga leaders Barcelona.

But Barca will restore their nine-point buffer if they win their game in hand at Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
