Real Madrid Fan Carlos Alcaraz Imitates Jude Bellingham Goal Celebration After Reaching US Open Semi-Final
Spanish tennis star Carlos Alcaraz celebrated in the style of Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham after reaching the semi-finals of the US Open this week.
Alcaraz beat Alexander Zverev in straight sets in the quarter-finals on Wednesday night.
The 20-year-old Wimbledon champion imitated Bellingham after the match by copying his favorite goal celebration.
Alcaraz later tweeted a photo of himself performing the celebration and tagged Bellingham, who replied: "Que maquina" - meaning "what a machine".
Bellingham also wrote: "Keep going mate," followed by a trophy emoji.
This interaction came days after Alcaraz had spoken highly of Bellingham in a press conference.
Speaking in New York last week, Alcaraz said of the England international: "I'm really happy to watch him play in Real Madrid. He's such a great, talented player, one of the best in the world.
"I'm sure that he's going to be the best player in the world in that position. I'm just really, really happy to have him in the team. I talk a little bit with him. He's such a great person, as well. He's a complete guy."
Bellingham has made an impressive start to life in Spain after joining Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in June.
He has scored five goals in his first four appearances in La Liga.
Bellingham was nominated for the 2023 men's Ballon d'Or award on Wednesday, as well as being shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy.
