Chelsea Fans Call For Graham Potter To Be Fired As "Club Statement" Trends On Twitter
Thousands of Chelsea fans took to Twitter over the weekend calling for manager Graham Potter to be fired.
Chelsea lost 1-0 at home to Southampton on Saturday.
Supporters at Stamford Bridge voiced their discontent after the final whistle by booing Potter and his team.
"Sack Potter" then trended on Twitter, as did "Club Statement" in reference to the way that Chelsea usually announce manager firings.
Saturday's loss to Southampton, who are bottom of the Premier League, was Potter's 25th game as Chelsea boss.
Chelsea have won nine matches under Potter, losing nine and drawing seven.
A major problem for Chelsea has been their lack of goals.
The Blues have now failed to score in four of their last five games.
Potter's team have played 10 matches in 2023, winning just once and scoring only four goals in the process.
Chairman Todd Boehly has already fired one manager this season, having axed Thomas Tuchel just seven games into the season.
Chelsea had won three of those seven matches.
