Chelsea officially unveiled their new home kit on Monday ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Club legends Dennis Wise and Roberto Di Matteo were used to model the new jersey, made by Nike, on ChelseaFC.com.

The shirt's design is said to have been inspired by the team's UEFA Cup Winners' Cup success 25 years ago in 1998, when Wise and Di Matteo both started in the final.

It also features an iridescent club crest, which apparently "highlights the prestige and glamour of the famous King's Road in the '90s".

But the most notable aspect of the jersey revealed this week is that it does not include the logos of any sponsors on it.

Why Is There No Sponsor Logo On New Chelsea Jersey?

This was not a deliberate style choice.

It is expected that a sponsor logo will be added once the club agrees a deal with a new partner.

Telecommunications company Three had been Chelsea's shirt sponsor for the past three seasons but that partnership has now ended.

Chelsea had agreed a deal with streaming service Paramount+ but this was blocked by the Premier League because it was feared that it may upset broadcast rights holders, such as Sky Sports.

The kit will not be available to buy until August 16.

A club statement read on Monday: "Fans can purchase this season's new but classic look on early access from 16 August via the Megastore at Stamford Bridge, our Official Online Store and nike.com.

"The kit will be available via the wider marketplace from 23 August.

"Fans should be aware that the 2023/24 home kit that features on pitch may subsequently feature a front-of-shirt partner. The club will communicate any changes to the kit in due course."
