Cristiano Ronaldo turned 39 this week and celebrated by posing for a team photo with the rest of the Al Nassr squad in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo and his teammates gathered for the picture around a cake, which had been placed on a table by the side of the pitch at Al-Awwal Stadium.

Al Nassr posted the photo on Instagram on Monday along with the message: "Birthdays are meant to be celebrated with family".

Ronaldo's 39th birthday came nine days after his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, had celebrated turning 30 during a holiday in the Maldives.

Ronaldo was unable to join Georgina on her vacation due to Al Nassr's participation in the 2024 Riyadh Season Cup.

Al Nassr beat Lionel Messi's Inter Miami 6-0 last week.

Ronaldo missed that match with an injury issue but he is expected to feature in the final game of the mini-series against Al-Hilal this Thursday.

Manchester United also wished Ronaldo a happy birthday this week.

United posted an image of Ronaldo, taken during his first spell at Old Trafford, alongside the words: "VIVA RONALDO".

Ronaldo's former club also wrote in a short caption: "Wishing @Cristiano a very happy birthday".

The post was liked by more than 2,000,000 users in less than 24 hours, including by Ronaldo himself.

Ronaldo scored 118 goals in 292 games for United between 2003 and 2009, before adding another 27 in 54 appearances in 2021 and 2022.

Since joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo has scored 44 goals in 50 matches for the Saudi Pro League side.
