Manchester City could be without star goalkeeper Ederson for their next four matches due to the injury he suffered in Sunday's 1-1 draw at Liverpool.

Ederson damaged a thigh muscle during the second half at Anfield when he fouled Darwin Nunez to concede the penalty kick from which Alexis Mac Allister equalized.

The Brazilian faced Mac Allister's spot-kick before being substituted moments later.

According to BBC Sport, Ederson is now facing up to four weeks on the sidelines.

Stefan Ortega is expected to start for City while Ederson is sidelined.

Ederson will definitely miss Brazil's next two games, having been withdrawn from the squad for this month's friendlies against England and Spain.
