Fixtures For EFL Championship Play-Offs Confirmed After Dramatic End To Regular Season

Coventry City and Sunderland qualified for the EFL Championship play-offs on a dramatic final day of the regular season.

Luton Town and Middlesbrough had already sealed third and fourth place respectively before the 46th round of fixtures.

But Monday began with five clubs - Coventry, Millwall, Sunderland, West Brom and Blackburn - all hoping to secure one of the two remaining spots.

Millwall appeared to be in the box seat when they stormed into a 3-1 lead at home to Blackburn.

But Blackburn fought back to win 4-3 - a result that saw Millwall drop to eighth.

Millwall's slip was good news for Sunderland, who won 3-0 away at Preston to move into sixth place.

Meanwhile, Coventry's 1-1 draw at Middlesbrough was enough to hold onto fifth spot.

Blackburn finished seventh, while West Brom ended ninth after losing 3-2 at Swansea on Monday.

Middlesbrough and Coventry will now meet again in the semi-finals of the play-offs.

Sunderland will face Luton in the other semi-final.
