Jarrad Branthwaite and Ivan Toney Named in England Squad for Games Against Brazil and Belgium
Jarrad Branthwaite and Anthony Gordon have been called up to the England squad for this month's Wembley friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.
Everton center-back Branthwaite and Newcastle United forward Gordon were both part of the Young Lions team that won the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2023 but neither has yet been capped at senior level.
That could change when England host Brazil on March 23.
England will then face Belgium three days later in their final game before manager Gareth Southgate names his squad for Euro 2024.
Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa is the other uncapped member of Southgate's latest squad.
Konsa, 26, won the FIFA U-20 World Cup with England in 2017 but never made the step up to U21 level.
England boss Southgate has also recalled Brentford striker Ivan Toney.
Toney made his England debut in a 2-0 win over Ukraine in March last year but he has not featured for the national team since then.
The 27-year-old completed an eight-month ban from football for breaching FA betting rules in January.
