Enzo Fernandez was named in Chelsea's starting XI to face Fulham on Friday night less than 72 hours after signing for the Stamford Bridge club.

The Argentina midfielder became the most expensive player in Premier League history after Chelsea agreed on transfer deadline day to pay £106.8 million to buy him from Benfica.

Fernandez came into Chelsea's starting XI in place of Jorginho, who joined Arsenal on deadline day.

Chelsea manager Graham Potter made three changes to his team from the XI that had started at Liverpool on January 21.

The other changes saw Reece James come in for Trevoh Chalobah, and Mykhailo Mudryk handed his first Chelsea start in place of Lewis Hall.

Friday's XI had cost Chelsea £464.2m in combined transfer fees.

Potter threw on another £144m worth of substitutes in the second half.

But Chelsea's £600m side did not look significantly better than Fulham as the west London rivals played out a 0-0 draw.

Fernandez played the full 90 minutes and touched the ball 96 times.

He completed six tackles - more than any other player on the pitch.
