Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is the most likely candidate to be the next Premier League manager to leave his job, according to a popular UK bookmaker.

Up until Wednesday, Sheffield United's Paul Heckingbottom had been the favorite to be the next EPL manager to move on.

However, Ten Hag now heads the betting after his Red Devils team lost 3-0 at home to Newcastle in the EFL Cup on Wednesday.

Ten Hag's team have now lost eight of their first 15 games in all competitions this season.

That poor form could end up costing the Dutchman his position, with BetVictor now offering odds of just evens (+100) on Ten Hag being the next EPL boss to move on.

Heckingbottom can currently be backed at 13/8 (+162.5), while the next manager on the list is Bournemouth's Andoni Iraola at 10/1 (+1000).

Ten Hag has been in charge at Old Trafford since May 2022.

The former Ajax boss has led United in 77 games to date, winning 48, drawing nine and losing 20.
