Erling Haaland Wins UEFA Champions League Golden Boot With 12 Goals
Erling Haaland won the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League Golden Boot award after averaging more than one goal per game in this season's tournament.
Saturday's final was Haaland's 11th UCL appearance of the campaign.
Despite failing to score in Manchester City's 1-0 win over Inter Milan in Istanbul, Haaland ended with an impressive tally of 12 goals.
Liverpool's Mo Salah finished second in the Golden Boot race after scoring eight goals in eight games for Liverpool.
Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior were joint third after scoring seven times for Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid respectively.

Five of Haaland's 12 goals came in a 7-0 win over RB Leipzig in the round of 16.
Haaland also scored two goals each against Sevilla, Copenhagen and Bayern Munich, as well as netting once in a 2-1 win over former club Borussia Dortmund.
Only five players have scored more goals in a single edition of the UCL or European Cup.
Cristiano Ronaldo still holds the record for the most prolific elite European campaign after scoring 17 times for Real Madrid in the 2013/14 tournament.
Ronaldo also scored 16 goals in the 2015/16 Champions League and 15 in 2017/18.
Robert Lewandowski (15 for Bayern Munich in 2019/20), Karim Benzema (15 for Real Madrid in 2021/22), Jose Altafini (14 for AC Milan in 1962/63) and Lionel Messi (14 for Barcelona in 2011/12) are the only other players who have scored more than 12 goals in Europe's top club competition in one season.
