Al Nassr claimed a creditable 0-0 draw against French champions Paris Saint-Germain in a pre-season friendly in Japan on Tuesday.

This was the Saudi Pro League team's third match against top-flight European opposition this summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Co had lost 5-0 and 4-1 in games with Spain's Celta Vigo and Portugal's Benfica earlier this month.

But a PSG side featuring the likes of Marco Asensio, Marco Verratti, Achraf Hakimi and Carlos Soler were unable to score past Saudi Arabia keeper Nawaf Alaqidi, who made seven saves.

Ronaldo played 68 minutes for Al Nassr, while Neymar was an unused substitute for PSG.

There was no Kylian Mbappe for PSG after he had been left in Paris and put up for sale following his refusal to sign a new contract this summer.

The France captain could face off against Ronaldo again later this year if he decides to accept an offer to join Al-Hilal.

Ethan Mbappe - Kylian's 16-year-old brother - was involved in Tuesday's game.

The teenage striker came on as a 61st-minute substitute.
