Manchester City and Manchester United could be on course to face each other in an FA Cup final for the first time ever.

The two local rivals were kept apart on Sunday when the draw for the FA Cup semi-finals was made.

City will face Sheffield United at Wembley in the last four. The Red Devils will meet Brighton. 

Man United have reached the FA Cup final 20 times and City on 11 occasions. But they have never met each other in an FA Cup final. 

FA Cup 2022/23 semi-final draw:

  • Brighton vs Manchester United
  • Manchester City vs Sheffield United

This season's FA Cup semi-finals will take place over the weekend of April 22 and 23.

Man City were the first team to reach this season's semi-finals after beating Burnley 6-0 in the last eight on Saturday.

Sheffield United then beat fellow Championship side Blackburn Rovers 3-2 on Sunday, hours before Brighton thrashed Grimsby Town 5-0.

The semi-final draw took place before the last quarter-final, which saw nine-man Fulham lose 3-1 at Old Trafford.
