FPL Prices 2023/24: Erling Haaland Confirmed As Most Expensive Fantasy Premier League Player
Erling Haaland will start the 2023/24 season as the most expensive player in the Premier League's official fantasy football game.
Multiple Fantasy Premier League values were revealed on Monday when it was confirmed that Haaland will be priced at £14 million.
FPL managers will therefore need to spend a chunky 14% of their initial £100m transfer budget if they want to include Haaland in their 15-man squad.
Haaland started last season with a value of £11.5m when he was the joint most expensive forward alongside Tottenham's Harry Kane.
But the Manchester City star's price has rocketed after he was the highest-scoring player in FPL during the 2022/23 campaign with 272 points.
The new value of Kane, who recorded 263 points last season, was not revealed on Monday. But we know that it will be no more than £12m.
That is because Liverpool star Mo Salah, who is classified as a midfielder in FPL, was confirmed as the second most expensive player for 2023/24 with a value of £12.5m.
Salah started last season as the priciest asset, with a value of £13m. He ended up with 239 points, making him the third highest-scoring player.
Other player values revealed on Monday included £9m for new Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku, £8.5m for Manchester United playmaker Bruno Fernandes and £8.5m for Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard.
Newcastle right-back Kieran Trippier looks set to be one of the most expensive defenders.
Trippier was the top-scoring defender in the game last season with 198 points. He will start the 2023/24 campaign valued at £6.5m.
More player values will be revealed later this week.
