Gabriel Jesus Hailed As "Dream Nine" And "Ultimate Team Player" Despite Goal Drought
Gabriel Jesus impressed BT Sport pundits Martin Keown and Scott Parker during Arsenal's 1-0 win at Chelsea on Sunday.
Jesus failed to score for the ninth consecutive match but he still made a big impact both with and without the ball.
After the game, ex-Arsenal defender Keown called Jesus the "ultimate team player".
Meanwhile, former Chelsea and Tottenham midfielder Parker described Jesus as a "dream" in the no.9 position.
Parker - who was a guest on BT Sport's live coverage, having lost his job as Bournemouth manager in late August - said of Jesus: "He's a dream nine for me personally, an absolute dream nine.
"Modern-game nines, first and foremost, need to give their team a platform out of possession.
"That's how we need to build our game and most coaches now see that.
"He's second to none. How he can slow an attack down, just from his angles to stop a pass going through the lines.
"Then on the flip side of that he's got the brilliance, the silkiness at times to bring people in.
"When you sign a player, you're ticking boxes. Arsenal have signed a player that practically ticks every box."
Arsenal's victory was their 10th against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the history of the Premier League.
