Giannis Antetokounmpo Amuses Kylian Mbappe With Al-Hilal Joke After PSG Accept €300m Offer For France Forward
Basketballer Giannis Antetokounmpo cracked a joke on Twitter after learning that Al-Hilal had made a huge offer to sign Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe, 24, was given permission to speak to Al-Hilal on Monday after Paris Saint-Germain accepted a €300 million bid from the Saudi Pro League club.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Mbappe has not yet spoken to Al-Hilal but it is said that he will be offered a basic salary of €200m, which could rise as high as €700m with various commercial deals.
Mbappe is expected to reject Al-Hilal's offer as he would rather see out the final year of his contract in Paris before joining Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.
But after seeing the amount of money Mbappe could potentially make in the Middle East, Antetokounmpo made a humorous come-and-get-me plea.
The NBA star tweeted: "Al Hilal you can take me. I look like Kylian Mbappe".
Antetokounmpo included two laughing emojis and one eyes emoticon in his tweet, which also featured a photo of the Milwaukee Bucks power forward wearing a cheeky grin.
Mbappe swiftly responded to Antetokounmpo's joke with 13 laughing emojis.
Antetokounmpo and Mbappe met each other in 2020 when the Bucks visited Paris to take on the Charlotte Hornets as part of the NBA Global Games series.
The Bucks won the match 116-103 before Mbappe met up with Antetokounmpo in the locker room.
Antetokounmpo gave Mbappe a signed jersey and received a signed pair of soccer boots in return.
