Harry Kane passed the 20-goal mark for Bayern Munich on Saturday by scoring twice in a 4-2 win over FC Heidenheim.

His 20th goal for the club arrived 14 minutes into his 16th Bayern game to put his new team 1-0 up.

Kane collected a pass from Leroy Sane inside the penalty area with his back to goal. After shielding the ball with his body, the England captain turned and fired home from 16 yards.

Kane then scored again in the 44th minute to make it 2-0 with a powerful header from a Sane corner.

This was Kane's 17th goal in the Bundesliga. His other four goals for Bayern had come in the UEFA Champions League.

Niclas Fullkrug and Christopher Nkunku shared the Golden Boot last season after each scoring 16 Bundesliga goals.

Kane looks almost certain to win this season's Golden Boot, while he could even break the all-time record for the highest number of goals scored in a Bundesliga season.

That record currently stands at 41 goals and was set by Robert Lewandowski in the 2020/21 campaign.

Kane scored 30 goals in his final Premier League season for Tottenham, equaling his best ever tally in the competition.

He also hit 30 EPL goals in the 2017/18 campaign. Kane scored 41 goals in all competitions that season - his most prolific club campaign to date.
