Tottenham's Hugo Lloris And LAFC Hold Talks Over Possible Free Transfer
Former France captain Hugo Lloris could be set for a move to Major League Soccer.
Lloris, 37, will soon enter the final six months of his contract with Tottenham Hotspur.
According to ESPN, Spurs will likely allow Lloris to leave on a free transfer in January, rather than holding onto him until the summer.
Multiple sources, including ESPN, are reporting that Lloris and Los Angeles FC are in advanced talks over a possible move.
Signing Lloris would be a major coup for LAFC.
Although Lloris has not played for Spurs since featuring in a 6-1 defeat at Newcastle in April, he has recorded 127 clean sheets during a 361-game Premier League career.
Lloris captained Spurs between August 2015 and August 2023, when he was replaced in the role by Son Heung-min.
The former Lyon stopper has also skippered his country and was part of the France side that won the FIFA World Cup in 2018.
Lloris has been capped 145 times at senior international level - more times than any other male player in the history of the French national team.
