Tennis legend Novak Djokovic was at the San Siro on Wednesday night to watch AC Milan take on rivals Inter Milan in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

Djokovic, who is set to face Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the first round of the Italian Open in Rome on Friday, posed for pictures with Milan players Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Rafael Leao before the match.

Both Ibrahimovic and Leao missed the game due to injury.

Without them, Milan fell to a 2-0 defeat following early goals from Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The second leg will take place next Tuesday, also at the San Siro.

Which Soccer Team Does Novak Djokovic Support?

Djokovic has expressed affection for multiple clubs over the years, including Manchester United and Real Madrid.

But AC Milan are the soccer team closest to his heart.

He has previously said: "I'm a big fan of Milan and I'll always be. For me, football is second only to tennis. My father was a professional footballer and at home we always watch the Rossoneri's games with great interest."

Last year, Djokovic revealed that he is close friends with Ibrahimovic and added: "I'm a Milan fan and we hope to win the Scudetto this year."
