Joao Felix And Joao Cancelo Score Debut Goals As Barcelona Hit Real Betis For Five
Joao Felix scored on his Barcelona debut in a 5-0 win over Real Betis on Saturday night.
Making his first start since joining on loan from La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid, Felix opened the floodgates in the 25th minute with a sharp finish from a narrow angle.
Robert Lewandowski doubled Barca's lead before Ferran Torres made it 3-0 by scoring direct from a free-kick.
Raphinha got the fourth goal with a fine strike from 22 yards.
Joao Cancelo - another recent loan signing by Barca - then followed Felix by scoring on his debut.
Cancelo's goal arrived in the 81st minute after the on-loan Manchester City full-back had dribbled past Juan Miranda with some fancy footwork.
This was Barca's biggest win in La Liga since March 2021.
It sent Xavi Hernandez's side to first place in the table, although Real Madrid will reclaim top spot if they beat Real Sociedad on Sunday evening.
