Jorginho is the seventh player to move directly from Chelsea to Arsenal during the Premier League era.

The 31-year-old midfielder swapped Stamford Bridge for the Emirates Stadium on transfer deadline day.

Arsenal paid Chelsea a transfer fee in the region of £12 million, while Jorginho signed a contract until June 2024 with an option for an extra year.

The Gunners also tried to sign Moises Caicedo in January but had bids worth £60m and £70m rejected by Brighton.

Jorginho made 143 EPL appearances for Chelsea, scoring 21 goals.

He is the first player to move from Chelsea to Arsenal since Willian in 2020.

David Luiz, Petr Cech, Yossi Benayoun, Lassana Diarra and William Gallas have also joined Chelsea from the Gunners in the past two decades.

Meanwhile, Ashley Cole and Olivier Giroud are the only senior players to move directly from Arsenal to Chelsea since the Premier League was formed in 1992.
