Jose Mourinho Tells "Unprofessional" Roma Player To Find New Club In January

Jose Mourinho told one of his Roma players to "find himself another club" after Wednesday's 1-1 draw with Sassuolo.

The Roma manager was furious with somebody but he refused to say who.

Roma took the lead in Reggio Emilia on 80 minutes when England striker Tammy Abraham scored his third Serie A goal of the season.

But Mourinho's side had to settle for a point after Andrea Pinamonti struck a late equalizer.

Mourinho used 16 players in the game and was happy with all except one of them.

He told DAZN: "I am sorry that the efforts of the team were betrayed by the attitude of one unprofessional player, an unprofessional attitude that is not fair to his teammates.

"That is what disappoints me. A point away from home is still not a negative result and I am happy with the general attitude of my squad."

When asked which player he was referring to, Mourinho said: "I won't tell you.

"I had 16 players on the field tonight and I liked the attitude of 15 of them.

"In January, he needs to find himself another club."

Roma have one more game to play in 2022.

They will host Torino on Sunday before top-flight Italian soccer pauses for over seven weeks for the FIFA World Cup.

Roma's draw at Sassuolo saw them move onto 26 points from their first 14 Serie A games this season.

Roma ended last season in sixth place in Serie A but they enjoyed continental success by winning the first ever UEFA Europa Conference League.
