Jude Bellingham scored his 14th goal for Real Madrid in Sunday's 3-0 away win over Cadiz.

It came in the 74th minute after two superb solo strikes from Rodrygo had put Madrid in firm control at Nuevo Mirandilla.

Bellingham's goal was the product of a sweet left-footed finish following a neat through pass by Rodrygo.

Sunday's game was Bellingham's 15th for his new club since joining from Borussia Dortmund in June.

He has now scored more goals in his first 15 games for Madrid than any other player in the club's 121-year history.

The previous record had been jointly held by Cristiano Ronaldo, Alfredo Di Stefano and Pruden - who each scored 13 times in their first 15 Madrid matches.

After reaching the 14-goal mark in just 15 games, the 2023/24 campaign is now the joint most prolific scoring season of Bellingham's club career.

He scored 14 goals in 42 matches for Dortmund last season.

Sunday's win over Cadiz saw Madrid climb to first place in La Liga, four points above title rivals Atletico and Barcelona.

However, Girona can return to top spot by beating Athletic Bilbao on Monday.
