Karim Benzema and Eder Militao joined Real Madrid's injury list after limping off during Thursday's 2-0 win over Valencia.

Militao appeared to suffer a muscular injury to his groin area in the first half.

The Brazilian defender was substituted off in the 36th minute.

Real now have a complete back four out of action, with David Alaba, Lucas Vazquez and Ferland Mendy having already been on the injury list.

Star striker Benzema then exited the game in the 60th minute after appearing to feel pain while running.

Benzema had earlier assisted goals for Marco Asensio and Vinicius Junior.

The 35-year-old has been in fine form this season, scoring nine goals in his last 12 games for Real.

Real could have suffered another injury blow later in Thursday's game when Valencia defender Gabriel Paulista violently kicked out at Vinicius.

But fortunately Vinicius had neither of his legs planted on the ground when Gabriel assaulted him, so he escaped without any significant damage.

Gabriel was shown a straight red card for violent conduct.

Real Madrid Injury List

  • David Alaba (muscle injury)
  • Lucas Vasquez (ankle injury)
  • Ferland Mendy (muscle injury)
  • Eder Militao (suspected muscle injury)
  • Karim Benzema (suspected muscle injury)
