Kylian Mbappe Leads PSG Players And Fans In Show Of Support For Sergio Rico
Players and fans of Paris Saint-Germain showed their support for Sergio Rico during Saturday's game against Clermont.
This was PSG's first home match since goalkeeper Rico, 29, suffered serious injuries while on a pilgrimage in Spain last month.
Rico was recently taken into intensive care after being involved in a horse riding accident near his home city of Seville in Spain.
A minute of applause took place in the 16th minute while a giant image of Rico, whose squad number is 16, was unfurled by fans at the Parc des Princes.
PSG forward Kylian Mbappe later held up a jersey printed with Rico's name and number after scoring from a penalty kick in the 21st minute.
During the game, Mbappe and all of his PSG teammates also wore Rico's name on the back of their jerseys in place of their own.
Before the match, the entire squad had put on tee-shirts printed with a photo of Rico and the message: "#AnimoSergioRico".
