No player in the history of world soccer has won more trophies than Lionel Messi. Messi has equaled the world record of 43 trophies, set by Dani Alves.

No player in the history of world soccer has won more trophies than Lionel Messi.

The 35-year-old scored his 16th Ligue 1 goal of the season to fire Paris Saint-Germain to the French title on Saturday night.

Messi has now won three trophies with PSG, five with Argentina and 35 with former club Barcelona.

The only other player to have won 43 career trophies is Messi's ex-Barcelona teammate Dani Alves.
