Liverpool will play Chelsea in the 2024 Carabao Cup final on February 25.

The Reds booked their place at Wembley by holding Fulham to a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage on Wednesday.

That hard-earned result saw Jurgen Klopp's side prevail 3-2 on aggregate, having beaten Fulham 2-1 in the first leg at Anfield 14 days earlier.

Chelsea overcame Middlesbrough 6-2 in the other semi-final.

Luis Diaz fired the Reds in front in London with a fine individual goal on 11 minutes.

Diaz collected a high crossfield pass on his chest before dribbling into the 18-yard box and squeezing a right-footed shot inside Bernd Leno's near post.

Caoimhin Kelleher was forced into three saves before Andreas Pereira hit the post early in the second half as Fulham threatened to hit back.

The Cottagers eventually did equalize on the night in the 76th minute when Issa Diop diverted the ball past Kelleher following good work by former Reds winger Harry Wilson.

Kelleher later made his fourth save of the game to prevent Wilson leveling the contest on aggregate.

Liverpool have now reached 14 League Cup finals - four more than any other club.

The Reds will become the first ever 10-time winners of the competition if they beat Chelsea next month.
