Caoimhin Kelleher now holds two Liverpool FC records despite playing just 18 games for the club.

Kelleher saved three penalties as Liverpool beat Derby County 3-2 in a shootout after Wednesday's game in the third round of the EFL Cup had ended 0-0 in 90 minutes.

The 23-year-old has now made more saves - six - in penalty shootouts than any other keeper in Liverpool history.

Kelleher had already been involved in more penalty shootout wins than any other Liverpool keeper past or present.

He claimed that record in last season's EFL Cup final when he scored the winning spot-kick in an 11-10 victory over Chelsea.

That triumph at Wembley was his third shootout success with the Reds.

His fourth came after he denied Derby trio Conor Hourihane, Craig Forsyth and Lewis Dobbin at Anfield.

This was Kelleher's eighth appearance in the EFL Cup. He has featured four times in the FA Cup, four times in the Premier League and twice in the Champions League.
