Manchester City 2-1 Fulham

Manchester City rose to the top of the Premier League table on Saturday after Erling Haaland struck a 95th-minute penalty to beat Fulham.

City scored first at the Etihad Stadium when Julian Alvarez fired in his sixth goal for the club, but the game appeared to swing in Fulham's favor in the 26th minute.

Joao Cancelo fouled Harry Wilson inside the 18-yard box and was punished with both a red card and a penalty kick, which Andreas Pereira duly converted.

But despite their numerical disadvantage, City continued to dominate the game in terms of possession and chances.

Having missed City's previous two games with an injury, Haaland was introduced as a substitute midway through the second half.

He came back with a bang.

It took Haaland just 10 minutes to find the net but his fine headed strike from a Kevin De Bruyne cross was ruled out for offside.

He was not to be denied though.

De Bruyne was tripped by Antonee Robinson in added time and Haaland slammed the resulting penalty under former Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno.

Haaland was visibly thrilled and received a yellow card for removing his shirt amid the wild celebrations.

Late Goals Galore

All five of Saturday's Premier League games witnessed a goal later than the 82th minute.

Pascal Gross hit an 83rd-minute winner to help Brighton beat Wolves 3-2 at Molineux

Meanwhile, Leeds won 4-3 at home to Bournemouth after storming back from 3-1 down. Crysencio Summerville's winner was timed at 83.02.

Elsewhere, Nottingham Forest and Brentford drew 2-2 at the City Ground after Mathias Jorgensen scored an own goal six minutes into added time.

Saturday's evening game saw Leicester claim a third victory in four games by winning 2-0 at Everton.

Youri Tielemans put Leicester in front before Harvey Barnes sealed the win by finishing off an 86th-minute counter-attack.
