Manchester City have now outscored Manchester United across their 53 Premier League derbies.

A 3-0 win at Old Trafford on Sunday saw City take an all-time aggregate lead over United for the first time in EPL history.

City have now scored 77 Premier League goals against United, who have netted 76.

Such a statistic would once have been unthinkable after United dominated the first two decades of the EPL era.

United won 13 league titles in the first 21 years of the EPL, which began in 1992.

The Premier League title did not grace the blue half of Manchester until 2012 but City now have won it seven times.

Despite now trailing City in their head-to-head in terms of overall goals scored in Manchester derbies, United have still won more derby games than their rivals.

Sunday's win at Old Trafford was City's 19th victory over United in the EPL. United have beaten City 25 times, while there have been nine draws.
