Manchester United Officially Unveil Mason Mount As First Summer Signing
Mason Mount was officially unveiled as a Manchester United player on Wednesday morning.
The 24-year-old moved to Old Trafford in a £60 million transfer from Premier League rivals Chelsea.
United will pay Chelsea an initial fee of £55m plus a possible £5m more in performance-related add-ons.
Mount is United's first signing of the summer.
He has put pen to paper on a contract until June 2028. That deal also includes the option of an extra 12 months.
Mount's weekly wage at United will reportedly be in the region of £250,000 - more than three times more than he was earning at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to ManUtd.com, Mount said: "It's never easy leaving the club where you grew up, but Manchester United will provide an exciting new challenge for the next phase of my career.
"Having competed against them, I know just how strong a squad it is that I'm joining, and I can't wait to be part of this group's drive to win major trophies.
"Everyone can see that the club has made big steps forward under Erik ten Hag. Having met with the manager and discussed his plans, I couldn't be more excited for the seasons ahead, and am ready for the hard work expected here.
"I am hugely ambitious; I know how amazing it feels to win major trophies and what it takes to do it. I will be giving everything to experience that again at Manchester United."
Mount had been at Chelsea since the age of six.
He played 195 first-team games for the Blues and was named Chelsea Player of the Year twice, including in 2021 after helping the club win the UEFA Champions League.
Mount said goodbye to Chelsea supporters on Tuesday evening by uploading a video to Instagram.
He began his message by saying: "Hi Chelsea fans. Given the speculation over the last couple of months, this may not come as a surprise to you that I've made the decision to leave Chelsea. I feel you deserve more than just a written statement."
He continued: "I wanted to tell you directly how grateful I've been for all of your support over the last 18 years. I know some of you won't be happy with my decision, but it's what is right for me at this moment in my career.
"I joined Chelsea when I was six years old and we've been through a lot together. Winning the Youth Cup, my player of the year awards, the Super Cup, the Club World Cup, and the unforgettable night where we won the Champions League.
"I want to say thank you to the academy for being so influential to me from a young age. The managers I've worked under, the backroom staff, all of my team-mates over the years who have become my brothers, and most importantly you guys.
"I wish you all the best."
