How Erik Ten Hag Plans To Keep Man United Players In Shape During World Cup Break

The Premier League is set to break for six weeks from November 13 until December 26 to make space for FIFA's first-ever winter World Cup.
Manchester United will see more than half of their first-team squad travel to Qatar for the tournament.
But what about the players left behind?
United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that those players - including the likes of Victor Lindelof and Scott McTominay - will only receive a "short break".
Ten Hag will take his players that are not involved in Qatar 2022 to Spain in early December for a winter training camp.
United will also play two friendly matches while in Spain, including one against Cadiz on December 7.

Explaining his team's winter plans, Ten Hag told ManUtd.com: "It's a strange season. It's not like usual as we have a World Cup but also players will stay behind. We have to train them during those six weeks and we have to give them the right program so they stay in the right fitness levels, but also they stay in the right shape and also in the team style.
"We made a program to do that, as optimum as possible. So, we will train here [at the Carrington training center] for one week, or eight or nine days, and then we will have a short break. Then we will train and go to Spain for a training camp for one week.
"There, we can train proper. We have good opponents over there so we can get the game practice in as well. Then we will return, ready for the second stage of the season, I would say, but a long stage, longer than usual."
United have four games left to play before the season pauses for the World Cup.
They will face Real Sociedad in Spain on Thursday in the Europa League, before visiting Aston Villa in the Premier League three days later.
United take on Villa again in the EFL Cup on November 10, then play Fulham in London in their final EPL fixture before Qatar 2022.
