Marcus Rashford's Brother And Agent Charged With Battery In Miami
The brother and agent of Manchester United and England soccer star Marcus Rashford is due to appear in court in the United States after being arrested for an alleged assault.
Dane Rashford, 31, is accused of punching a woman twice in the face during an Uber ride from a Miami nightclub to a hotel on October 20.
According to a police report, the Miami Beach fire and rescue team were called to the hotel to treat the woman's injuries.
The report describes Rashford as being "irate" at the hotel, where he is said to have caused "visible damage" by kicking a closet door.
Police took statements from the victim, Rashford and his sister Chantelle Maynard. Rashford was then taken into custody and later charged with battery.
The case is scheduled to be heard on November 27.
Daysi Vega-Mendez, the assistant state prosecutor for Miami Dade County, told The Telegraph this week: "The case is still active, at the moment I haven't been able to get hold of the victim.
"At the moment the case is still active and listed for an arraignment hearing on 27 November."
