Mo Salah Gives Liverpool Injury Boost by Returning to Team Training
Liverpool forward Mo Salah could be available to feature in Saturday's game away at Brentford after returning to team training.
Salah had been out of action since January 18 when he suffered a hamstring injury while playing for Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations.
He then flew back to England for treatment and had been training alone while following a personal recovery program.
However, Salah stepped up his recovery on Tuesday when he rejoined the rest of Jurgen Klopp's squad in a team session.
Goalkeeper Alisson also trained on Tuesday after missing Saturday's 3-1 win over Burnley through illness.
But Trent Alexander-Arnold did not take part in Tuesday's team session.
The England right-back was subbed off at half-time at the weekend, shortly after breaking the all-time Premier League record for most assists by a defender.
Liverpool have four games still to play in February.
After Saturday's trip to Brentford, the Reds will host Luton in midweek before taking on Chelsea in the EFL Cup final on February 25.
Klopp's men will then end the month with a home game against Southampton in the FA Cup's round of 16.
Salah had been in fine form prior to his injury.
The 31-year-old has scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in 20 Premier League appearances so far this season.
