The CIES Football Observatory - a research group within the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) - this week published its latest list of the most valuable players in world football.

Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham was found to have the highest transfer value on the planet right now.

Bellingham is currently worth €267.5 million, according to CIES.

The 20-year-old England star is one of three Real Madrid players in the top four places on the list.

Brazilians Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo are placed third and fourth with values of €250.3m and €247.9m respectively.

Manchester City and Norway striker Erling Haaland - who scored 50 goals in 2023 - is second with a value of €251.2m.

Bukayo Saka, Phil Foden, Gavi, Julian Alvarez, Jamal Musiala and Martin Odegaard also feature in the top 10.

Kylian Mbappe is only 27th, but his estimated value of €106.2m is significantly affected by the fact that he has less than six months remaining on his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.

Some of the players that are said to be worth more than Mbappe right now include Kai Havertz (€106.8m), Darwin Nunez (€117.6m) and Marcus Rashford (€136.2m).
