New UEFA Champions League Match Ball Unveiled for Knockout Rounds
The new UEFA Champions League match ball that will be used in this season's knockout rounds, including the final, was unveiled by adidas this week.
While the ball used during the group stage was white with blue stars, the new ball is predominantly orange and yellow, with white stars featuring a blue outline.
Each new ball will also be decorated with cartoon images of two roaring lions.
According to adidas, "the lion is symbolic of the rich history and culture of England and its capital city" London, where the 2024 UCL final will take place at Wembley Stadium on June 1.
The UCL Pro 23/24 knockout ball is currently being listed for sale at www.adidas.com for $170, while a decent replica will cost $40.
All UEFA Champions League balls have been made by adidas since 2001.
