Brazil icon Neymar is set to become the latest big-name soccer star to join a club in Saudi Arabia.

Neymar, 31, is said to be close to leaving Paris Saint-Germain to sign for Al-Hilal, who finished third in last season's Saudi Pro League.

He will join the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and fellow Brazilian Roberto Firmino in Saudi soccer.

Ronaldo, Benzema and Firmino are currently club captains at Al Nassr, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli respectively. All three of those clubs - like Al-Hilal - are part-owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.

The PIF is playing a key role in Saudi soccer's revolution by providing huge sums of money to facilitate marquee signings.

But how much are Al-Hilal going to pay to bring Neymar to Riyadh?

Neymar's Transfer Fee

According to BBC Sport, Al-Hilal have agreed a deal with PSG that will see the French club receive an initial transfer fee worth €90 million ($98.5m).

That fee is expected to rise even further based on various performance-related add-ons.

Neymar's Salary At Al-Hilal

Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol reported earlier this week that Neymar will earn €150m ($163.7m) per year at Al-Hilal - which is claimed to be six times more than his current PSG salary.

That will make Neymar one of the highest-paid players in the Saudi Pro League but Ronaldo will remain as the top earner.

Ronaldo, 38, is understood to be making more than $200 million per year at Al Nassr.

Meanwhile, Benzema and Al-Ittihad teammate N'Golo Kante are each said to have an annual tax-free salary worth around €100m.
