Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has won The Best FIFA Men's Coach Award for 2023.

Guardiola had been the overwhelming favorite for the prize after leading City to a famous treble last season when his side won the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League.

The 52-year-old topped the vote ahead of fellow finalists Simone Inzaghi and Luciano Spalletti.

Inzaghi was in charge of the Inter Milan team that lost 1-0 to City in the Champions League final after winning the Coppa Italia.

Meanwhile, Spalletti led Napoli to a first Serie A title in more than 30 years.

Spalletti then left Napoli at the end of last season before being appointed as the new boss of the Italy men's national team.

Guardiola is the first Spaniard to win The Best FIFA Men's Coach Award, which was launched in 2016.

He had previously placed second in 2019 before coming third in 2021 and 2022.
