Premier League Fixtures: Man City To Start New Season Away At Burnley, Chelsea To Host Liverpool On Opening Weekend
The 2023/24 Premier League season will begin on Friday, August 11 when reigning champions Manchester City visit Burnley.
Burnley, managed by former City captain Vincent Kompany, were promoted to the EPL as EFL Championship winners last season.
The two other promoted teams, Sheffield United and Luton Town, will both begin the new campaign at 3pm (UK time) on Saturday, August 12.
Luton's first ever game in the Premier League will be away at Brighton & Hove Albion, while the Blades will host Crystal Palace upon their return to the top flight.
Both of those games will take place shortly after Arsenal face Nottingham Forest in the first early Saturday game of the season.
The first Super Sunday of the Premier League season will begin with a London derby between Brentford and Tottenham.
That match will be followed by Chelsea vs Liverpool.
Liverpool had asked the Premier League to start the season with an away game because Anfield is being redeveloped this summer.
