UK National Anthem To Be Played At All Five Premier League Games On Saturday
All five Premier League matches on Saturday will be preceded by a rendition of the national anthem of the United Kingdom.
The coronation of King Charles III is taking place in London on Saturday and 'God Save the King' will be played ahead of kick-off in matches up and down the country to mark the occasion.
Bournemouth, Manchester City, Wolves and Tottenham are all playing at home at 3pm UK time, before Liverpool host Brentford in the later game at 5.30pm.
Many Liverpool supporters booed and jeered when the national anthem was performed ahead of last season's FA Cup final.
But a club statement issued on Friday confirmed that 'God Save the King' will still be played at Anfield.
It read: "Before kick-off and in recognition of the Premier League's request to mark the coronation, players and officials will congregate around the centre circle when the national anthem will be played.
"It is, of course, a personal choice how those at Anfield on Saturday mark this occasion and we know some supporters have strong views on it."
